Watching A Golf Tournament Live (Part 1): Is It Better To Watch Golf On TV?
Have you tried watching golf live? If not, then you definitely miss half of your life. Golf games are normally show in the television. Some channels air golf games 24/7. However, there are certain times in which watching over the TV is simply not enough.
Watching these golf professionals play just within the confinement of your own home will definitely not give you genuine experience and emotion that reverberate from the players, the depth of each hole, and of course the beauty of the golf course.
And when you are already out there seeing the game as it happens, the feeling standing just a few yards behind your much loved professional golfer as he or she rips a 275-yard drive with the speed of lightning is indeed incomparable. Everybody has to make ways to look at a professional golf game even just once in their entire lives, to simply watch, up close, the unbelievable talent of today’s golf professionals.
Watching Golf Over The Television Isn’t That Bad After All…
Before you get so upset from missing out on watching a live golf game, it is just fair to talk about some advantages when watching the game back home. Aside from the fact that you get to sit comfortably in your home while watching, you also get the advantage of hearing the commentator talking something about the game, thus making you understood it better. The commentator will surely make you understand everything without getting confused.
Then there are the dozens camera shots. I bet you probably just don’t know how golf on television makes it a lot easier for you to visualize what’s going on from one player to the next, even if they are at the exact opposide sides of the hole.
You may be watching David Duval’s beautiful long drive on the 5th hole, then few seconds later the camera cuts over to Tiger Wood’s putt shot on the 7th. You cannot feel this comfort when viewing the tournament live. Sad to say, you can only see what your 2 eyes can see without any camera to help you out.
The Down Side Of Seeing The Game Live
There can be downsides to seeing the pro’s play as a beginner golfer. It also wouldn’t be fair if the down sides of seeing a professional golf tournament in the flesh won’t be discussed.I should know this given the fact that I have seen couple of games already over the last 5 years.
The first disadvantage that comes to mind is the length of time it takes for the game to finish when you are watching it live. Most courses are extremely huge and it takes the golf players quite some time to walk from hole-to-hole. If you are trying to learn to play golf the constant waiting and patience for the next play was something that you need to get yourself used to after seeing it the first time.
Second, while golf fans are at the comfort of their very own home while sitting on their own sofa and sipping on their favorite beverage, hundreds, and even thousands of golf fans are just around in the hope to get up close to their favorite professional golfer, squeezing everyone firm, blocking your view at times, and basically just makes you very much uncomfortable when you are trying to catch of what is actually happening.
